Foot Pain and Foot Problems

Foot pain can affect people in different ways , which includes damage to ligaments, muscles, bones, joint and nerves. Various problems can cause pain from damage to the structures in the forefoot such as a hammer toe, mortons neuroma to even stress fractures of the metatarsal, including a 2nd metatarsal stress fracture. 

Pain in the forefoot can also be caused by conditions such as bunions which is also known as hallux abducto valgus which is when the large toe moves towards the lesser toes which can lead to pain in the bunion joint itself. Other issues are the big toe include conditions such as hallux rigidus which is when osteoarthritis of the large toe can cause considerable pain and discomfort.

Other foot problems which can lead to serious foot complications in the forefoot are conditions such as a plantar plate tear which can lead to hammer and claw toes and bursitis in the foot. Bursitis in the foot occurs when the bursa which is small sacks of fluid in between metatarsals which aid movement they can get inflamed and cause considerable pain.
